Title: “Love Hands” from SOFT POWER series
Description: In a new body of work, I explore the nuanced connection between soft, feminine power and the use of textiles and printmaking—specifically, lace as a cultural symbol. Lace, with its delicate intricacy and strength, serves as a compelling visual metaphor for feminine resilience, patience, and enduring influence. In these works, Khmer feminine power is not portrayed as overt or forceful, but as an elegant, graceful, and quietly persistent presence. By weaving lace into portraits of dancers and warriors, I suggest that softness and beauty are themselves powerful forces, shaping identity and history through a richly layered fabric of visual storytelling.
